Now in its second year of operation, CITE Alliance Victoria seeks to expand its leadership with the appointment of a Manager of Mentor training and Trainee Teacher support.e. The Position

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Initial Teacher Training Manager at CITE Alliance Victoria. This new role represents the growth in CITE’s apprenticeship model of teacher training. Integral to the success of graduates from the program is the relationship with their classroom-based Mentor Teacher. The role of the ITT Manager will support the Mentors as they work alongside the Trainee Teachers in their journey to becoming effectively scaffolded in their empowerment, equipping and formation as Christian teachers.

In the process, the ITT Manager will ensure that Trainee Teachers’ professional learning is programmed and delivered to meet their needs.

The ITT Manager is part of the leadership team of Coordinators whoco-design, co-develop, lead and present in the delivery of innovative, best-practice professional learning for Pre-service Teachers within the Alliance.

The ITT Manager reports directly to the CITE Alliance Director.

Part-Time Flexible Ongoing

This is a permanent part-time position, with a Term 2, 2025 start. The successful candidate will work 15 hours per week at days and times as negotiated based on candidate availability and organisation requirements. Please note that some out-of-hours work will be required.

The Position

This new role reflects the growth of CITE’s apprenticeship model of teacher training. Integral to the success of graduates from the program is the relationship with their classroom-based Mentor Teacher. The ITT Manager will support these Mentors as they work alongside Trainee Teachers, guiding them on their journey towards becoming empowered, well-equipped, and formed as Christian educators.

In this role, the ITT Manager will ensure that the professional learning of Trainee Teachers is effectively programmed and delivered to meet their individual needs.

The ITT Manager will also be part of the leadership team of Coordinators who co-design, co-develop, lead, and deliver innovative, best-practice professional learning for Pre-service Teachers within the Alliance.

The ITT Manager reports directly to the CITE Alliance Director.

This partnership operates in conjunction with Eastern College Australia, a tertiary provider accredited by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) of the Australian Government.

This role expects evidence of thoughtful understanding of faith formation and the ability to demonstrate the relevance of

being a disciple of Jesus Christ to teaching and learning.

It is expected that applicants will:

·  Keep the vision and values of CITE Alliance Victoria at the forefront of decision-making and action.

·  Possess a current Working With Children Check and a National Police Check, or be willing to obtain these, and have completed Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse & Neglect in Education & Care (RRHAN-EC) training, Protective Practices training.
