The Christian Initial Teacher Education (CITE) Alliance is made up of six Christian schools; Chairo Christian School, Crest Education, Donvale Christian College, Flinders Christian Community College, Maranatha  Christian School, and Waverley Christian College, in partnership with two Christian tertiary providers; Eastern College Australia, and Christian Heritage College, who are accredited for Mutual Recognition with other state’s Teacher Registration Boards and the Australian Government's Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).

Congratulations to Karen Hooper for her appointment as CITE Alliance Victoria Director.

Currently, as the Initial Trainee Teacher Manager, Karen has taken our program to a whole new level. Her immense capacity, networks with our Christian schools, and work in the mentoring and growing of Christians into the teaching profession, is highly regarded.

CITE welcomes the amalgamation of the Director and the Initial Trainee Teacher Manager roles.

Associate Professor Jennie Bickmore-Brand will step down at the end of the year, as Director, and is greatly encouraged that the Board chose Karen Hooper to provide the necessary continuity to this innovative program. With four more trainee teachers graduating from the program at the end of this year, CITE is expanding its impact on the future generations of Christian schooling. This is kingdom work, and we are blessed to be part of the ministry.
